Will Vikings trade pick No. 24 overall? Every in-draft move during GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah’s tenure image

In what NFL scouts believe to be a weak overall 2025 draft class, trades could come at a fever pitch when the clock finally starts ticking next Thursday night.

Several teams could be looking to trade into the mid-30s, as the prospects projected to be available early on Day 2 are comparable to those expected to go off the board in the first round.

That only adds to the intrigue surrounding the Minnesota Vikings and pick No. 24 overall. Minnesota’s work in free agency should allow the team to select the best player on its board, but with just four total selections in this draft, the Vikings are a trendy pick to trade back, possibly with an eye on adding draft capital in future years.

Kwesi Adofo-Mensah is entering his fourth draft as general manager of the Vikings, and the results so far have netted far less hits than misses. Only four of Minnesota’s draft picks under Adofo-Mensah’s watch — J.J. McCarthy, Jordan Addison, Jalen Nailor and Will Reichard — project as starters for the team in 2025, so the chance to come out of this year’s draft with as few as four prospects is concerning.

Adofo-Mensah has never been afraid to swing trades, especially when the clocks are running during draft weekend. He’s made 11 such moves so far over his three-year tenure. Here's how each of those trade packages were constructed:
