Game three of the Ruben Amorim experiment takes place this weekend as Manchester United host fellow sleeping giants Everton.

After securing a chaotic 3-2 midweek UEFA Europa League win over FK Bodø/Glimt, United's first Premier League home game under Amorim will be the 39-year-old's chance to begin putting his stamp on the underperforming club.

An early lead in his debut game at Ipswich Town soon made way to a disappointing draw, and the Red Devils cannot waste too much more time, if they wish to end a very competitive league campaign in the European positions.

Everton, meanwhile, continue to hover dangerously above the relegation zone — a familiar feeling for the Toffees over the past few years. But, an upset victory at the Theatre of Dreams would move them just two points behind United and raise some alarms in Manchester.

The Sporting News looks at the latest team news and confirmed lineups for this fixture at Old Trafford.

Man Utd vs. Everton lineups, confirmed starting 11, team news

Man United have key defender Lisandro Martinez, back fit, but Harry Maguire needs a little bit more time before returning, from a calf complaint.

Leny Yoro and Victor Lindelof are unlikely to make it back in time, either, but Kobbie Mainoo and Tyrell Malacia have the all-clear for the weekend. The England teenager is back in the starting lineup, with long-term absentee Malacia on the bench.

Luke Shaw and Mason Mount both featured against Bodo/Glimt and Amorim has named the injury-plagued England duo among the substitutes

Man United lineup (3-4-2-1, right to left): Onana (GK) — Mazraoui, De Ligt, Martinez— Amad, Casemiro, Mainoo, Dalot —Fernandes, Zirkzee — Rashford.

Injured: Maguire (calf), Yoro (foot), Lindelof (hip)
Suspended: None

Everton remain without captain Armando Broja and Youssef Chermiti for the game at Old Trafford, although captain Seamus Coleman is back among the substitutes. Dominic Calvert-Lewin is also on the bench, with Beto handed a surprise opportunity to start in attack.

"Seamus is getting back on the grass and it probably won't be enough for this weekend, but he's showing signs of getting truly fit after niggly injuries," Sean Dyche said at his pre-match news conference, so it remains to be seen to what extent he will be able to call upon the veteran right-back.

Tim Iroegbunam (foot) and James Garner (back) appear more likely for December returns.

Dele Alli is the Blues' sole long-term absentee after the former England midfielder suffered another injury setback this week.

Everton lineup (4-2-3-1, right to left): Pickford (GK) — Young, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko — Doucoure, Gueye — Lindstrom, McNeil, Ndiaye — Beto

Injured: Alli (hamstring), Iroegbunam (foot), Garner (back), Broja (heel), Chermiti (both ankle)
Suspended: None
