Dylan Raiola arrived at Nebraska with as much hype as any player in decades.
That's what happens as the No. 1 quarterback in the country, especially once you pick a school that isn't in the prime spotlight in this era.
But Raiola mostly delivered on the hype in the early stages, delivering a couple of marquee moments and showing a sky-high ability in various flashes.
Heading into Year 2, Raiola and the Cornhuskers will certainly be dreaming big.
Head coach Matt Rhule spoke about his young QB on Tuesday and shared a strong message.
“He is ten steps ahead of where he was, and where he was was pretty cool." Rhule said.

Raiola finished his freshman season with a 67.1 completion percentage, 2,819 passing yards and 13 passing TDs.
This spring, Raiola looks ready to take the next step.
“Even like a day today when there's no pads… his movement in the pocket is excellent,” Rhule said. “His ability to play the next play and move on, his checks, his knowing what he's seeing coverage-wise.”
Raiola should feel a bit more comfortable with everything in his second year on campus.
“I have really enjoyed watching him coach the other quarterbacks while they are out there,” Rhule said.
Maybe Raiola is still a year away from true superstardom, but the Big Ten should start to look out. He looks pretty darn ready to make a splash.
