Warriors get major Jimmy Butler injury update for Game 4 vs. Rockets image

The Golden State Warriors have a 2-1 series lead over the Houston Rockets entering Game 4 on Monday night. However, questions remain about whether or not Jimmy Butler will be able to play

Butler suffered an injury at the beginning of Game 2 and missed Game 3 as well with a deep glute contusion. However, Butler did get some work on Saturday before Game 3, putting some optimism into his availability for Game 4.

On Monday morning, another update came, and it was an encouraging one for the Warriors, per Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints

"Jimmy Butler is questionable and will be a game-time decision tonight. However, league sources told @ClutchPoints that the team believes Butler will return for Game 4 tonight against the Rockets."

Butler is officially listed as questionable, but this latest update provides hope that he will return for Game 4 in California as the Warriors try and take a commanding 3-1 series lead.

In Butler's absence, Quinten Post and Jonathan Kuminga have seen more playing time, although it took a 36-point outburst from Stephen Curry on Saturday night as Golden State earned the 104-93 victory.

Butler's final status will get a fresh update right before game time, but all signs point to him suiting up.
