The Los Angeles Dodgers have an array of superstars, but the only thing that could prevent them from repeating as World Series champions is the injured list.

Tyler Glasnow left his last start early while warming up for the second inning. The Dodgers have placed him on the 15-day injured list with shoulder inflammation. However, manager Dave Roberts noted that his timeline for return is not clear.

"If we're going to do this, then let's make sure that we have everything taken care of, as far as the mechanics, the physical part of it," Roberts told reporters. "So when we do get him back, then we can just move forward without looking back. This is going to be a tricky one as far as timeline."

Glasnow was an All-Star last season after signing a $115 million deal with the Dodgers. However, he ended up missing the last half of the season and the postseason. Health has been an issue for him throughout his career, never making more than 22 starts.

"I'm just obsessed with trying to figure out what's going on," Glasnow told reporters. "And it's been like this for a few years, and I'm trying to find a way to stay healthy, and I'll try to do whatever. I just don't really have an answer right now, and I think that's the most frustrating thing. It's not like a lack of trying.

"It's just kind of just getting exhausting at this point. I know it's probably exhausting for a lot of people, for me especially, but like, I feel bad for my teammates. I feel bad for people watching. … It's a very frustrating situation for me. It’s hard."

The Dodgers are not the type of team to sit around and hope Glasnow returns at full strength. Last season, they addressed their pitching injuries by trading for Jack Flaherty. With Shohei Ohtani and Clayton Kershaw still not ready to pitch, Glasnow on the injured list, Blake Snell dealing with an injury and other starters struggling, the Dodgers could get active during the trade deadline.
