After the Miami Dolphins finished their 2024 campaign with an 8-9 record, in second place in the AFC East and outside the playoffs for the first time since Mike McDaniel took over as the team's head coach, their offseason has been pretty lackluster.
Miami's lost Terron Armstead to retirement and Jevon Holland, Raheem Mostert, Siran Neal, Durham Smythe, Anthony Walker Jr., Calais Campbell, Da'Shawn Hand, Robert Jones, Kendall Lamm, Jack Stoll, River Cracraft and Braxton Berrios to other teams in free agency.
They've added James Daniels, Zach Wilson, Pharoah Brown, Willie Gay Jr., Ashtyn Davis, Alexander Mattison, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Artie Burns, Ifeatu Melifonwu, Larry Borom, K.J. Britt and Ryan Stonehouse.
While the Dolphins have made many shocking moves, the threat of a Tyreek Hill trade has loomed all offseason, and it could still happen before the team takes the field for the first time in 2025.
Fansided's Simon Shortt recently put together a list of teams that should be calling on Hill if he's moved in a trade, and that list included the New England Patriots.
New England's receiver room is still lacking despite adding both Stefon Diggs and Mack Hollins in free agency. DeMario Douglas, Kayshon Boutte, Kendrick Bourne, Ja'Lynn Polk, Javon Baker, JaQuae Jackson and John Jiles fill out the room, and they'll need some of them to step up in 2025.

Boutte was the Patriots' top wideout in 2024, but Douglas and Bourne didn't have the years that they wanted and the rookie duo of Polk and Baker looked lost.
New England thinks they've found their starting quarterback of the future in 2024 first-round pick Drake Maye, but he'll need more weapons if they want him to reach his full potential.
Hill, 31, is an five-time All-Pro and eight-time Pro Bowler. Even in his down year last year he still caught 81 passes for 959 yards and six touchdowns. If he put up those numbers with the Patriots in 2024, he would've led in all three statistics.
While Dolphins general manager Chris Grier recently hinted at wanting two first-round picks for Hill's services, it's unlikely that he'll go for that much if he is traded. Shortt suggested that New England's opening offer should be a fourth-round pick (No. 106) and Polk for Hill. Even in his 30s and with the off-field issues, that would be a steal for the Patriots.
