It was an epic collapse for the Celtics in game one against the Knicks.
While the life drained from Boston's chances to win, Jayson Tatum couldn't do anything to save his team.
The Celtics' forward had two points and was 0-7 shooting in the fourth quarter, allowing the Knicks to come back from a 20-point deficit.
But it goes deeper than that.
Mike Beuoy of inpredictable.com posted a statistic than contextualizes how bad Tatum was in the playoff loss.
The worst playoff performances when ranked by win probability added (or, subtracted, rather).

In basketball, win probability measures how much what a player does impacts the team's chance at winning. This means even the contributions that Tatum made did not affect the outcome very much.
He finished with 23 points, 16 rebounds, and 6 assists.
It's the 23rd worst of the play-by-play era, meaning Tatum had one of the worst playoff performances of all time when you factor in his impact on the actual game.
When it counted the most, Tatum disappeared. The Celtics can't afford that type of performance again.
