With yet another big performance, Travis Hunter added to his Heisman Trophy argument Saturday.

No. 18 Colorado hosted Utah at Folsom Field in Week 12, coasting to a 49-24 victory that saw Hunter snag an interception, plus make an impressive acrobatic catch and rush for a touchdown.

From start to finish, the Buffaloes' defense dominated, picking off three passes from Utes quarterback Isaac Wilson.

A punt return score and Shedeur Sanders' first of three passing touchdowns gave Colorado a 14-3 lead after the first quarter, and Deion Sanders' squad cruised with that momentum through the rest of the game. Wide receiver Will Sheppard caught a pair of touchdowns, running back Isaiah Augustave had a 37-yard score and the Buffaloes' defensive unit totaled four sacks, a forced fumble and the three interceptions.

Hunter topped his team's huge performance off with the first rushing touchdown of his collegiate career, dancing around in the backfield before finding a gap and extending his team's lead.

The Buffaloes' 49 points were a season high, and they're undoubtedly playing their best football as the regular season inches toward its end. Colorado has won four consecutive games, is now 8-2 this season and has matchups against Kansas and Oklahoma State on its upcoming schedule. After just a 4-8 record last season, Deion Sanders' group has a clear path to the Big 12 Championship Game, and a potential path to the College Football Playoff as well.

Meanwhile, as Wilson took over quarterback duties for the Utes once again due to various injuries throughout the team's season, Utah's offense struggled. On the ground, it mustered up just 1.0 yard per carry, and while Wilson flashed some talent with 236 yards and two touchdown passes, the freshman quarterback completed just 21 of his 40 passes (52.5% completion), threw a trio of interceptions and lost a fumble.

While Utah's injury-riddled season continued with a tough loss, Colorado kept up its recent noise as one of the hottest teams in the country.

1:36 p.m. — Travis Hunter is unreal. On 4th & 8, with time ticking down in the first half, Colorado once again chooses to go for it. Sanders goes deep to Hunter, who leaps and makes an acrobatic catch over multiple Utah defenders. It's a 28-yard gain as the Buffaloes look for points before halftime.

1:29 p.m. — Hunter's first reception of the game comes on a 10-yard play to give Colorado a first down in its own territory.

Rather than trying to get a short gain for a first down, Sanders tosses it deep for Will Sheppard, who makes a physical grab in the end zone.
