It's always unfortunate when one of the best players in Major League Baseball history gets injured, and that's been the case with Mike Trout over the past few years. Trout, who was on track to be arguably the best player to ever step foot on the diamond, hasn't been able to stay healthy.
It's been a brutal situation for baseball fans, Los Angeles Angels fans, and the future Hall of Famer.
However, he may have avoided a serious injury recently, as the Angels only placed him on the 10-day IL and are reportedly hopeful that he'll be in the lineup in the next few weeks.
Regarding the injury, however, Trout broke his silence on where things stand, adding that he hopes it's just scar tissue breaking up.
“When it happened, it was just a weird feeling,” Trout said, per MLB.com. “After getting treatment stuff, it actually feels a little better. Hopefully, it’s just a little scar tissue breaking up.”

The New Jersey native hasn't played in more than 100 games since the 2022 season, when he played 119 and hit 40 home runs.
It's evident that when Trout is on the field, he’s still one of the better players in baseball, but the injury concerns are tough to ignore at this stage.
Prior to going down with this injury, Trout was playing worse than ever, but still had nine home runs. Despite the nine home runs, he had a 102 OPS+ and was hitting just .179, far below his career averages.
