The New Orleans Saints have uncertainty at quarterback entering the 2025 season after Derek Carr's injury.

But they know that Alvin Kamara will be in the backfield, both running and receiving the ball effectively.

One Saints writer thinks New Orleans should double down on that skill set.

Darrion Gray of Saints Wire proposes that the Saints should make a deal for Jets running back Breece Hall.

Hall just had 1,359 yards from scrimmage across 16 games in 2024.

"A backfield of Kamara and Hall would give the Saints two rushers who are rushing and receiving threats," Gray writes. "That duality would give the Saints a strong rushing attack, and would allow the offense to tip their hand on if it's a rushing or passing play based on personnel."

Gray explained that the Saints may otherwise consider a rookie running back in the draft to help supplement Kamara, but Hall is certainly more of a sure thing.

Jets coach Aaron Glenn recently laid out a plan to get New York's other two RBs more touches, which could come at the expense of Hall.

"You'll likely have to give up a package centered around a late Day 2 or Day 3 pick," Gray writes. "... The combination of proven production and low trade compensation should intrigue the Saints."

If the Saints had an interest in extending Hall, it'd be an even better idea. He's 23 compared to Kamara's 29 and could become the heir apparent in New Orleans.
