The Kansas City Chiefs are inching closer to knowing who will make up the majority of their roster as the 2025 NFL Draft draws near. Have they done enough to make up for getting smacked in their Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles?

It’s too early to tell, but the Chiefs may not be done adding impact players to the roster.

While the Chiefs do hold the 31st overall pick in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, there may be another way that they luck into landing a top-tier talent.

According to Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer, there’s a chance that the Tennessee Titans could cut starting cornerback L’Jarius Sneed, who signed a four-year, $76 million contract after being traded by the Chiefs last offseason. If released, Breer believes there’s a strong chance Sneed could reunite with the Chiefs.

"How the Tennessee Titans handle L’Jarius Sneed, as he faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon over a December shooting at a Texas car dealership, will be interesting, since new GM Mike Borgonzi was actually part of trading him away from the Kansas City Chiefs a year ago," Breer wrote. "Kansas City, for the record, really liked him, but was nervous about his balky knee. I bet they’d bring him back if the Titans end up cutting him."

Sneed helped the Chiefs win two Super Bowls, so it makes sense that both sides would be open to a new partnership.

There’s a possibility that Sneed’s legal trouble could impact his playing status, in which he’d face a suspension from the NFL, yet that would only take effect during regular season play, allowing him to return before the playoffs get underway.
