Professional athletes rarely get to participate in the "bring your kid to work" day that used to happen in the workforce. If they did, it was always as a fan. This changes in golf with the PNC Championship. This unique tournament pairs a winner of a major championship or The Players Championship with a family member of their choice. The duo competed against 19 other pairs in a two-round scramble tournament.
Tiger Woods returned to the links to play with his son Charlie at the 2024 PNC Championship. The elder Woods has been sidelined for several months since his latest surgery.
Charlie and Tiger first played at the PNC Championship in 2020. They have finished 7th, 2nd, tied for 8th and tied for 5th.
Last year, the PNC Championship was won by Bernhard Langer and his son Jason Langer. It was their fifth tournament win, with the first way back in 2005. Tiger and Charlie.

Charlie Woods records his first ever hole-in-one
During second round play, Charlie Woods recorded his first ever hole-in-one. His reaction says it all, but it had to be extra special to accomplish the feat with his father by his side. Tiger may have been even more excited than his son.

Once the initial excitement died down a bit, Charlie gave his thoughts on the shot ("a little cut-7") and how it felt to sink one in front of his dad.

The Woods duo completed an impressive second round, shooting a 15-under. They forced a playoff against the Langers, who have won the PNC Championship so many times that Bernhard Langer switched sons to play with, giving his younger son a chance to win. The Langers used that experience to win the playoff on the first hole and won their sixth PNC Championship. This is the second 2nd-place finish for the Woods' at the PNC Championship.
