Polata was the 18th player for Origin I but looks set to earn her Queensland debut after the side claimed an 18-10 win in Sydney.

"It's a really good opportunity for China to step up and play at that level," coach Tahnee Norris said upon the announcement of the 19-player squad.

"She's a similar build to Julia Robinson so looking forward to her taking up the ball for us."

Norris has brought in Tallisha Harden as the 18th player, while also including playmaker Sienna Lofipo.
