Cricket fans have been left reeling after Perth Scorchers batsman Michael Klinger was dismissed off the seventh ball of an over in Sunday's Big Bash match against the Sydney Sixers.
The Perth Scorchers opening batsman was caught at third man by Steven O'Keefe for two off the bowling of Ben Dwarshuis.
Despite officials reviewing the dismal to rule whether O'Keefe had taken a legal catch, no one picked up on the fact Dwarshuis had already bowled six legal deliveries.
Television coverage later revealed that Dwarshuis had indeed bowled seven deliveries without any wides or no balls, marring the Scorchers seven-wicket victory.
Cricket fans and the cricket world alike, once again took to Twitter to have their say over the controversial decision.

Scorchers are 1/15 after 2 overs. Good start by the lads!#smashemsixers #BBL08 pic.twitter.com/RS3FPIPAGJ
But it turns out the Sydney Sixers were the only ones in the cricketing world who were happy with the decision...
Michael Klinger dismissed on the 7th ball of an over. Staggering. Klinger & Bancroft are experienced cricketers - how do they not notice and raise it? Or coach Voges... I’m in shock by the whole situation.

Epic fail by @BBL with Michael Klinger out caught on the SEVENTH BALL of an over - no wides or no balls. There's only two field umpires, a third umpire and a reserve umpire? #BBL08 #BringBackMax @OptusStadium

No one will remember this game more vividly than Cameron Bancroft.*
