An intense evening is afoot as Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal will be locking horns in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final at Emirates Stadium.

It is expected to be a tough match between the two as both clubs are in good form this season and are yet to lift their first-ever Champions League trophy.

With Liverpool already named Premier League champions this season, Arsenal currently stand second in the league table with 67 points in 34 matches. PSG, meanwhile, have also bagged their 13th Ligue 1 title in the ongoing campaign.

Speaking ahead of this upcoming clash, PSG head coach Luis Enrique expressed confidence in his squad to stand strong against Arsenal.

What did Luis Enrique say ahead of PSG's Champions League semi-final against Arsenal?

The last time PSG faced Arsenal was in the early stages of Champions League back in October last year and it ended in a 2-0 loss for the French club. During the pre-match press conference, Enrique addressed the previous defeat and claimed that his squad are 'much better' now.

"I saw the match [back in October] again. We're a much better team today. We had a very intense group phase, with a lot of games that could have been finals. So I think that made things difficult because we were in a difficult position, but it has made us much stronger and we are more complete," he said.

Enrique also mentioned that the 'pressure' of this match has to be managed well and added,

"These are Champions League semi-finals, but they're still two games between two teams with the same goal. The key will be managing the pressure. PSG have never won the Champions League? Neither have Arsenal. We mustn't let that stop us from performing at the highest level, we have to keep that in mind but concentrate on what we have to do," added the Spanish manager.

PSG and Arsenal have met only on five occasions before and the Ligue 1 side are yet to bag a victory over the Gunners. The Premier League side have managed two wins over the Parisians while the other three matches ended in a draw.
