Gout Gout has taken the athletics world by storm.
The 16-year-old won the U18 100m and 200m titles at the Australian All Schools Championships last week in stunning fashion.
Notably, his 20.04 effort in the 200m broke Peter Norman's Australian record, which had stood since the Mexico City Olympics in 1968.
With his name now in the spotlight, his father has clarified some crucial details.

The sprint sensation should actually be known as Guot Guot, which is pronounced "gwot gwot".
"His name is Guot, it’s supposed to be Guot," Bona Guot told 7News.
"When I see people called him Gout Gout, I’m not really happy for him."
The misspelling happened due to an Arabic translation mix-up when Bona and his wife Monica fled Sudan for Egypt, before moving to Australia.
Official records weren't corrected when Gout was born in Ipswich, Queensland in 2007.
Understandably, his father would like his son to be known by his family's true name.
He also wants to avoid any comparison to the disease of gout – a form of arthritis that causes inflammation in the joints.
"I know that Gout Gout is a disease name, but I don’t want my son to be called a disease name ... it’s something that’s not acceptable," Bona added.
"Whatever they want to call him, let them call him.
"But for myself, I know his name is Guot. That is my name myself. His mum is [also] calling him Guot."

However, Gout himself is happy to stick with the current spelling of his name.
