Luke Davies-Uniacke is yet to commit to North Melbourne long-term despite making positive statements about his future at the Kangaroos earlier this year.
The gun midfielder, along with Fremantle's Andrew Brayshaw, remains one of the most sought after free agents in 2025 with his contract expiring at the end of next season.
Davies-Uniacke spoke of his desire to remain at the Kangaroos during the 2024 season, but both the Herald Sun and The Age have reported that the midfielder is waiting to see whether the club improves first before committing to a new contract.
St Kilda are understood to be one the favourites to snare the 25-year-old if he opts for a fresh start, while the likes of Hawthorn and Geelong could be in the mix.

Davies-Uniacke enjoyed a breakout elite season in 2024, winning North Melbourne's best and fairest and polling 18 of the 45 Brownlow votes he has in his career to date.
Losing the midfield lynchpin would be a huge blow to the Kangaroos, who haven't played finals since finishing eighth in 2018.
North Melbourne also faces a nervous wait with young midfield star Colby McKercher, who is also waiting to see improvement from the club before committing his future.
Tasmanian-born McKercher is one of the number one targets for new AFL franchise Tasmania Devils, who will enter the AFL competition in 2028.
