Palmer netted 22 EPL goals in his debut campaign at Stamford Bridge in 2023/24 with Jackson scoring 14 following his move from Villarreal.
Those numbers have continued into the current campaign, with seven each in league action, despite concerns over Jackson's ability to step up a level.
With concerns still in place over the Senegal international, Chelsea are rumoured to be ready to revive their long standing interest in Brighton & Hove Albion forward Evan Ferguson.
Ferguson has struggled for game time this season, after seeing his 2023/24 campaign cut short by injury, but his stock remains very high.
As per reports from Teamtalk.com, Chelsea have maintained their link with the Republic of Ireland international, and initial contact has been made with the Seagulls.
The 20-year-old has only managed 12 league goals across 2022/23 and 2023/24, but his all-round game continues to attract attention, with Brighton ready to fight to retain him.
The report indicates Brighton could demand a fee in the region of £100m ($125m) similar to what Chelsea paid them for Moises Caicedo in August 2023.
With Ferguson's contract at the AMEX Stadium running until 2029, Brighton are in a strong position, and Chelsea will need to make a major investment to complete a deal.
