Alexander Volkanovski looks to hold onto the UFC featherweight title by any means necessary. He defends his title against Ilia Topuria on February 17. In California, the fight airs on ESPN+ PPV in the U.S.

Volkanovski has held the UFC featherweight title since 2019. The Aussie only has two losses in the octagon, and that was for fighting for lightweight gold. He successfully defended the featherweight title five times, each time dismantling the competition. He attributes his dominance to his competitive drive and overall skills.

“I think I'm hungrier than these guys trying to chase that belt, and I've always been that way,” Volkanovski told the UFC. “I’m more dedicated to the sport, more passionate, more calculated. I think all this counts, especially when you're defending your belt, so this is why I feel like I can defend it for so long: because I'm more passionate than ever.”

Born in Germany, Topuria turned pro in 2015. Joining the UFC in 2020, he is 6-0 for the promotion. In his last contest in June, "El Matador" beat Josh Emmett via unanimous decision.
