Tasmania is back for another year as part of the Australian summer of tennis calendar, with the Hobart International scheduled for January.

Over the years, the tournament has been won by big names including Petra Kvitova, Alizé Kornet, Sofia Kenin and Elena Rybakina.

When is the Hobart International 2025? Dates, schedule

The Hobart International main draw will begin on Monday, January 6 and conclude on Saturday, January 11.

It has been classed as a WTA 250 event, which is the fourth-highest tournament tier behind a grand slam, WTA 1000 and WTA 500.

A 32-player field will be on hand to compete for the singles crown.

Emma Navarro, now a top-10 player, is the reigning champion. She won't be in action this time around, though.

Where will the Hobart International be played?

As usual, the action will be held at the Domain Tennis Centre in Hobart, Tasmania.

It is located approximately a 20-minute walk north of the city centre, with Centre Court boasting views of Hobart's waterfront.
