Australia's NBA contingent has grown today, with the announcement that Luke Travers was officially signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers on a two-way deal.
Travers, 22, was drafted by the Cavaliers in the 2022 draft, and played for the team in the two previous Summer League campaigns, however this deal will represent his first crack at proper NBA experience.

Luke Travers signs two-way deal with Cleveland Cavaliers
After a strong 2023/24 NBL season with Melbourne United that saw them progress all the way to the Grand Final, Travers has decided it's time to take his talents stateside.
Picked by Cleveland with the 56th pick in 2022, Travers has had one eye on the NBA for some time, but after an impressive season with Melbourne the Cavaliers are officially bringing him in, signing a two-way contract.
He was especially impressive during the most recent NBA Summer League, averaging 8.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game for the squad.
Travers will now split his time between the NBA and the G League, hoping to be elevated to the main roster as the season progresses as Cleveland look to make a deep playoff run.
