Tyler Herro sure did a lot of talking for someone who just had his season end in a 55-point defeat.
The Heat star's comments simply didn't age well as the series with the Cleveland Cavaliers went on.
He called out Darius Garland's defense. He proclaimed great things about Miami's chances.
Before Game 4, he said that the Heat "weren't going out 4-0," referring to the sweep.
They went out 4-0 in the third-worst playoff loss in NBA history, 138-83.
So yeah, not the best.

In this final miserable night for the Heat, Herro shot 1-for-10 from the floor, including 1-for-9 from 3. His plus/minus was an astonishing negative-44.
He probably won't have much to say about that on Monday night.
For fans of basketball, it's a shame that Herro struggled. He's a talented, swaggering guard who can often take over games by himself.
It would've been awesome to watch him go shot-for-shot with Donovan Mitchell.
That wasn't in the cards, though.

Instead, Herro had to be humbled. He and his team, only the 10th-best in the Eastern Conference in the regular season, clearly weren't equipped to handle Cleveland's potency.
There's nothing left to say.
Herro, in the most emphatic fashion, will have to watch the rest of the playoffs from home. The Cavs, needing only their play, provided a booming last word.
