Michael Chandler is surprisingly still hoping for a fight against Conor McGregor. It is worth noting that Chandler and McGregor were matched up for a potential fight together for the better part of two years.

The fight was even booked for UFC 303 earlier this year. However, McGregor was forced to pull out of the fight because of an injury. Chandler eventually decided to move on from his fight with McGregor. As a result, he ended up facing Charles Oliveira in a rematch this past weekend at the UFC 309 as a co-main event.

After being out of action for so long, Chandler failed to return with a victory and succumbed to a unanimous decision loss. Following the fight, he was quick to speak about his intentions of wanting to fight Max Holloway or McGregor next.

Now, Chandler has doubled down on his hopes and suggested that he is still confident about facing McGregor. During a recent appearance on Bussin’ with the Boys, he said:

“I think me and Conor, International Fight Week is the next fight. I am throwing it out there. I think June or July.”
