Another important clash in the race for the top four and finals places will see Fremantle host Melbourne on Sunday.

Fremantle's winning run was halted by Hawthorn last weekend in Tasmania, seeing them slide out of the top four on points differential.

Melbourne's crucial win over Essendon saw them hold on to their spot in the eight, but they are level on points with two other teams; they can leapfrog Fremantle if they defeat them in the west.
