This past weekend at UFC 308, a never-seen-before KO move was on display by Shara Magomedov. The undefeated MMA fighter extended his UFC record to 4-0 when he stepped into the octagon against Armen Petrosyan.
The fight seemed to be a rather close one before Magomedov caught Petrosyan with double-spinning back fists. Having extended his professional record to 15-0, 'Bullet' spoke extensively about the never-seen-before move during the post-fight press conference and said:
“I used to practice this technique since my career in Muay Thai. In MMA, I was unable to throw it because I knew people were going to wrestle me, but this time I fought a high-level striker and it became a chess match and I was able to surprise him in this chess match.”

Shara Magomedov has been eyeing Israel Adesanya since his kickboxing days
Having won the fight in emphatic fashion, Magomedov shook a lot of people when he called out the former UFC middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya. During the post-fight interview, he declared himself the best striker in the middleweight division and called for a fight with the two-time UFC champion.
Further speaking about it, Magomedov has revealed that his pursuit of Adesanya dates back to their kickboxing days. 'Bullet' seemed certain that a fight between him and Adesanya would happen down the line and suggested that the only way 'The Last Stylebender' could avoid a fight against him was by retiring. He said:
“I used to chase Israel Adesanya when he fought kickboxing in China and I was fighting kickboxing in China, too. Now that he’s switched to MMA and now that I’m here, I’m ready to capture all the land. I’m ready to fight him and if the possibility presents itself, I’m ready to fight him in Macau, Saudi Arabia, it doesn’t matter. The only way for Israel Adesanya to avoid the fight with me is to retire.”
