Cleveland is in the beginning stages of a historic season.

The Cavaliers have officially tied the second-best start in NBA history after their win against the Hornets Sunday, improving to 15-0 despite being without their star guard Donovan Mitchell.

Mitchell sat out the contest to rest, according to the injury report. The Cavs have not had two days off in a row since the season began, and Mitchell played the first 14 games, averaging 24.6 points and 4.1 assists.

Here's the latest on Mitchell's injury status heading into a highly anticipated matchup against Boston on Tuesday.

Is Donovan Mitchell playing tonight?

Mitchell isn't on Cleveland's injury report, clearing the way for him to play on Tuesday.

The Cavaliers star seemingly sat out Sunday's game to recharge for the team's biggest test of the season so far — Boston.

Cleveland is undoubtedly better with Mitchell on the squad. Last year, the team went 12-15 in games he didn't play compared to 36-19 when he did.

Cleveland enters the game Tuesday hoping to extend its winning streak to 16.
