Manly have secured the services of Anthony Seibold for another two years after agreeing to fresh terms that will keep the head coach at the club until at least the end of the 2027 campaign.

The Sea Eagles brought Seibold on board two years ago after parting ways with Des Hasler.

The 50-year-old was unable to guide the side to the finals during his first campaign in charge, but managed to correct this last season as Manly reached the second week of finals.

Seibold's new deal continues his resurrection after being unceremoniously axed by Brisbane just 18 months into a long-term contract back in 2020.

The dire state of affairs at Red Hill caused many to question whether the former Dally M Coach of the Year would be able to rebuild his career.

However, after a unique journey back to the top, which included assistant coaching stints under Eddie Jones in England and with Newcastle, Seibold has reasserted his standing in the NRL.

"To have my contract extended out for another couple of years is something that I was really keen to do," Seibold said.

"I have enjoyed my coaching immensely since I came here two years ago.

"Ultimately, our mission is to win a premiership but underneath that our values in and around effort, in and around reliability, being curious, and being authentic is something that drives me every single day as a coach."

Seibold entered into contract negotiations club earlier in the year, although was reportedly at loggerheads with the club.

Yet this dispute has since been ironed out with Seibold securing a new deal off Manly's charge into the finals.

The Sea Eagles finished in seventh place in 2024 but will be aiming for a top-four finish next year.

They advanced through their elimination final against Canterbury with a stirring late comeback, before being knocked out of the title picture after a 40-16 loss to the Sydney Roosters.

The club have responded to the disappointment by recruiting a core of experienced campaigners, with Jazz Tevaga, Siua Taukeiaho and Michael Chee Kam brought to the Northern Beaches.

Meanwhile, off the pitch, Seibold has seen a host of new faces brought into the club.

Steve Murphy has joined as a Training Co-ordinator and Development Coach, while Albert Chang and Henry Mander will also form part of the new-look backroom staff.

"I think everyone has clearly seen the improvement in the playing group over the last 24 months," Seibold said.

"We have had year upon year gains on both sides of the footy.

"We have got some stability in our environment in regards to staff and players. We want to continue to grow and improve, and that is the opportunity we have got over this pre-season going into 2025."
