Despite a strong showing for Fiji in the recent Pacific Championships, Taane Milne remains uncontracted for 2025.
The 29-year-old is yet to be officially farewelled by the Rabbitohs but has not been offered a new deal after a disappointing 2024 campaign.
With clubs finalising their top-30 squads for next season, his chances of remaining in the NRL appear slim.
However, an opportunity in the United Kingdom may await, with Huddersfield Giants reportedly interested in Milne's services.

According to Yorkshire Live, the Super League team is "leading to the chase" to sign the centre.
The Auckland-born player made a handful of NRL appearances for the Dragons and Warriors between 2016 and 2019.
He then found his feet at South Sydney in 2021, going on to play 69 first-grade matches for the famous club.
Milne has also won 10 caps for the Fijian national rugby league team.
Huddersfield have already signed former NRL talents Tom Burgess and Jacob Gagai ahead of the 2025 campaign.
