Premier League fans are treated to an early North London derby in just the fourth weekend of the season as Tottenham host Arsenal on Sunday.

Both teams are at less than full strength. Arsenal are in the midst of a midfield crisis, as Declan Rice will miss out due to suspension while Martin Odegaard and Mikel Merino have come down with injuries and could be missing.

Tottenham, meanwhile, could be without a few injured players, including midfielder Yves Bissouma.

It's an early test for both sides en route to their respective goals. Arsenal consider themselves title challengers, while Spurs will hope to push themselves towards a top-four finish.

Tottenham vs. Arsenal prediction, odds

  • Moneyline lean: Tottenham (+210)
  • Score prediction: Tottenham 3-1 Arsenal

If there's ever a time to take the underdog in this famous derby, it's now. Arsenal will be playing on the road with a completely depleted midfield, which will allow Spurs to counter through the middle as Ange Postecoglou loves to do.

Arsenal under Mikel Arteta are reliant on their midfield, and even just missing Declan Rice could throw things out of whack. This will be the first time Arsenal will play without Rice in the lineup in a Premier League match since he joined, and their ability to play without him anchoring the midfield will be a test.

Tottenham vs. Arsenal best bet

  • Pick: First half over 1.5 goals
  • Odds: +135 (FanDuel)

These two teams love scoring early goals, especially against one another.

Incredibly, you have to go back five years to find a competitive matchup between these two clubs in which two or more goals were not scored in the first 45 minutes of the game, back to a 1-1 draw in March of 2019, a stretch of 10 straight matches.

This season, Tottenham and Arsenal have each scored a first-half goal in two of their three Premier League games.

Tottenham vs. Arsenal prop bet

  • Pick: Heung-Min Son to score or assist a goal
  • Odds: +120 (FanDuel)

Tottenham haven't won many recent matches against Arsenal, but Heung-Min Son has played his part up front for Spurs.

The South Korea international has racked up 10 goal contributions in his last 10 meetings against Arsenal across all competitions, scoring or assisting a goal in seven of those matches.

He's also in good form, having already picked up a brace against Everton this season and racking up a goal and two assists against Oman in World Cup qualifying over the international break.
