Winning the gold medal at the Olympic games is one of the biggest achievements in a sportsperson's career. 

Team India has won a total of 10 gold medals in the history of the Olympics, with eight of them coming via team events in the 20th century.

India has won a total of 10 gold medals at the Olympic games, with the Indian Men's Hockey Team winning eight of them. The only two individuals to win a gold medal for India are Neeraj Chopra and Abhinav Bhindra.

Neeraj Chopra was the last athlete to win a gold medal for India at the Olympics in 2020 and is also one of the strong favorites to win another gold medal at this year's Paris 2024 games.
