Motorsport is fast becoming popular in India.  

A Formula 4 racing event, Indian Racing League (IRL) 2024, is underway in Chennai. The second round of the IRL is held at street circuit in the Tamil Nadu capital. The street race will be held at night, for the first time in India on Sunday.

When does the Formula 4 street race begin?

The Formula 4 Street Race in Chennai - the second round of the Indian Racing League - will take place on Saturday (August 31) and Sunday (September 01). The events on the first day have already been held. The action on Sunday is expected to take place at night, with the final race starting around 21:00 hours IST.

Where is Formula 4 street race taking place?

The Formula 4 street race in Chennai will be held on the specially curated street circuit around the island grounds in Chennai. The circuit is 3.5 km long, and is the longest street-circuit in South Asia.
