Barcelona will wrap up their United States tour with a match against Italian giants AC Milan in Maryland.

Hansi Flick's men have looked strong in preseason so far as the Spanish side remain unbeaten after they drew to Manchester City before beating arch-rivals Real Madrid. 

AC Milan began their Serie A preparations with a tie but have secured victories in their last two games against Man City and Madrid.

The Sporting News takes a look at how the two sides could line up.

Barcelona will continue to be without their Olympic trio, Fermin Lopez, Pau Cubarsi, and Eric Garcia. Meanwhile, Euro 2024 winners Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres are still enjoying their well-deserved break, and semi-finalist Jules Kounde is back in training.

Barca are currently dealing with several injuries: Ronald Araujo, Pedri, Gavi, Frenkie de Jong and Ansu Fati are all currently sidelined along with young striker Vitor Roque who is recovering from an ankle injury.

Oriol Romeu has left the camp to finalize his return to Girona, however, manager Flick could still bolster the midfield with the return of Ilkay Gundogan.

Barcelona predicted XI (4-2-3-1 right to left): Ter Stegen (GK) — Fort, Christensen, Martinez, Balde — Casado, Gundogan — Victor, Torre, Raphinha — Lewandowski.

Injured: Ronald Araujo, Pedri, Gavi, Frenkie de Jong, Ansu Fati, Vitor Roque.
Suspended: N/A

New signing Strahinja Pavlovic may also miss out on his debut due to fitness concerns, while right-back Alessandro Florenzi recently underwent surgery for an ACL injury and is expected to be out for several months.

Milan have welcomed Euro 2024 stars Tijjani Reijnders, Mike Maignan, and Theo Hernandez back to their training base on, however, the trio will not participate in the match against Barcelona as they continue recover in Italy. Midfielder Ismael Bennacer is reportedly training individually in the USA. 

Despite these setbacks, there is good news for manager Fonseca, as Portuguese winger Rafael Leao is expected to return to play on Tuesday.

AC Milan predicted XI (4-2-3-1 right to left): Torriani (GK) — Calabria, Tomori, Thiaw, Jimenez — Loftus-Cheek, Pobega, Musah — Chukwueze, Jovic, Leao.

Raphinha and Ilkay Gundogan recently joined the squad meanwhile, Barcelona’s injured players - Pedri, Frenkie de Jong, Gavi, Ronald Araujo, and Ansu Fati - will remain at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper training ground to continue their rehabilitation.

Defenders: Alejandro Balde, Inigo Martinez, Andreas Christensen, Jules Kounde, Julian Araujo, Clement Lenglet, Hector Fort, Alex Valle, Mikayil Faye, Gerard Martin, Andrés Cuenca, Sergi Domínguez, Alexis Olmedo.

AC Milan tour squad for 2024 preseason

Milan have so far been quiet in the summer transfer window, only signing Alvaro Morata from Atletico Madrid and Strahinja Pavlovic.

They still have multiple players out as they rest from a busy summer of football that involved the Euros and Copa America.
