Former India pacer Zaheer Khan expressed his anguish over the dismissal of KL Rahul in the first Test against Bangladesh. Rahul's long stay at the crease was cut short by Mehidy Hasan Miraz off a fairly simple delivery on the opening day of the first test of the ongoing two-match series.

After doing the hard yards on the pitch, the 32-year-old threw his wicket away to the off-spinner for a soft dismissal. Zak has revealed that the right-hander should be disappointed on throwing his wicket away like the way he did.

How many runs did KL Rahul score against Bangladesh in Chennai?

Rahul was dismissed for an unharming 52-ball 16 on Day 1 of the inaugural Test against Bangladesh in Chennai. With the top-order flunking miserably at Chepauk, Rahul seemed set having played over fifty deliveries.

However, he was dismissed soon after, scoring just 16 runs off his blade. Zaheer Khan was astonished with Rahul and the way he gave his wicket away to off-spinner Miraz.

What did Zaheer Khan say about KL Rahul's dismissal in 1st Test against Bangladesh

Speaking to media outlet Cricbuzz, former India speedster Zaheer Khan spoke about the untimely dismissal of Indian middle-order batter, KL Rahul. Zaheer believed that Rahul was set on the crease to play a healthy knock, having faced a fair-few deliveries.

The former India international also expressed his disappointment at the 32-year-old for getting out to a spinner on a 'straightforward delivery'.

He said, "If a batter spends time at the crease and plays 50-60 balls, then one can say that he is set. If you get out after getting set, then it is a cause for concern. KL Rahul played through what is considered tough time for a batter. But then, getting out to an off-spinner off a straightforward delivery is disappointing," Zaheer said on Cricbuzz.
