Will Musheer Khan travel to Australia after impressing Ajit Agarkar after Duleep Trophy performance?

Ajit Agarkar, the chief selector for the Indian cricket team, has reportedly taken notice of Musheer Khan's performances. According to sources, Agarkar is considering fast-tracking Musheer into the India A team for the Australia tour.

The final squad for the India A tour of Australia will be selected based on performances in the Duleep Trophy and the Irani Cup. Musheer’s century in the Duleep Trophy opener and his earlier performance in the Ranji Trophy have strengthened his case.

He had already scored a double century in the Ranji quarter-final and another century in the final, proving his ability to perform in important matches.

While Musheer has been in the spotlight, the decision on whether he will be part of the India A squad is yet to be confirmed. The selection process is ongoing, and performances in the Irani Cup could influence the final decision.

Along with Musheer, Rajasthan’s left-arm spinner Manav Suthar is also being considered for the tour. Barring any fitness concerns, both players are likely to be strong contenders for the shadow tour of Australia.

How did Musheer Khan perform in the Duleep Trophy?

In his debut match for India B, Musheer came into bat at No. 3 during a difficult phase of the game. His team was struggling at 94/7, but Musheer managed to hold his ground.
