As the 1st Test between India and Bangladesh heads into its final stages, fans are closely watching the weather in Chennai, hoping rain doesn’t disrupt play.

According to the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), the city is expected to experience light to moderate rain from September 20th to 25th. The rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, could potentially affect Day 4 and Day 5 of the match.

Despite the early rains, play started on time, and both batters kept the scoreboard ticking, even as rain looms over the upcoming days.

India will hope that the weather holds up long enough to give them a clear shot at victory as Bangladesh begun their chase positively and currently at 158/4 at the end of Day 3.

Chennai has already seen heavy rainfall in recent days, with parts of the city like Madhavaram recording up to 7 cm of rain.
