Chasing a target of 130 runs in 60 balls, the Samp Army fell short by 6 runs off the target despite a good opening partnership from Briant Bennett (36 off 21) and Dawid Malan's unbeaten inning (62 runs off 28 balls).

Coming in at number 4, Jack Taylor added a quick 23 runs off 9 balls, however, their efforts went in vain as failed to chase down the above-par target with the added pressure of a final.

New Zealand's Adam Milne was the pick of the bowlers with 2/18 in his two overs, bowling at an economy rate of just 9 runs per over.

Shehzad was awarded the Player of the Match award for his quickfire 44 runs off 25 balls in the first innings.
