The Markhors who were led by Iftikhar Ahmed struggled to get going in the final of the Champions One Day Cup 2024 as they lost way in a win to Panthers in an underwhelming performance in Faisalabad on Sunday.

How did the Panthers beat the Markhors in the final of the Champions One Day Cup?

After winning the toss and batting first, Iftikhar's Markhors lost a couple of early wickets and found themselves 26/2, before Fakhar Zaman and Haseebullah Khan stitched a 56-run stand in 78 balls for the third wicket.

Khan was then dismissed, missing the ball as he ended up being bowled while trying to play across the line off the bowling of Sajid Khan.

Haseebullah's wickets opened the floodgates and led by a brilliant 2/24 off his 10 overs from Sajid Khan as the Markhors got bundled over for just 122.

They shockingly lost 7 wickets for just 40 runs and just batted under 34 overs. Fakhar top scored with 46(49) and the 19-year-old Arafat Minhas took 3/1 in just 2.4 overs.
