How did Hyderabad secure their win in the final?

Entering the fourth day of the final, Hyderabad was already in control, having gained the crucial first-innings lead. They set an imposing target of 518 runs in just 90 overs for Chhattisgarh.

Despite the challenging target, Chhattisgarh’s openers Ayush Pandey and Shashank Chandrakar fought back with an aggressive start. Pandey scored a stunning century (117 off 134 balls), while Chandrakar added a quick-fire fifty (50 off 45 balls).

The pair put together a 100-run opening stand off just 103 balls, attacking Hyderabad’s bowling attack.

However, Tanay Thyagarajan of Hyderabad played a key role in breaking the Chhattisgarh momentum, taking five wickets for 61 runs.

His consistent performance with the ball kept the pressure on, and despite Chhattisgarh reaching 194 for five in the first session, the target remained far out of reach.
