England's Joe Root is currently the highest run-scorer in the WTC 2023-25 cycle. Root has scored 1270 runs at an average of 55.21.

On Thursday, he scored the 33rd Test century of his career in the second Test match against Sri Lanka to become the batsman with most centuries among active cricketers in the longest format.

India's Yashasvi Jaiswal is close to Root with 1,028 runs. He displayed amazing form the last time India played Test matches which was against England in February and March.

The third edition of the WTC has seen some thrilling contests. From India's strong performance against England to the West Indies' dramatic win at The Gabba, the tournament has been full of surprises.

Currently, India, led by Rohit Sharma, sits at the top of the WTC table with a point percentage of 68.51. Australia and New Zealand follow in second and third place, respectively.
