Samson entered the field when the score was 175/4, building on the solid foundation laid by top-order batsmen Devdutt Padikkal, Srikar Bharat, and Ricky Bhui, who all contributed fifties.

Displaying an aggressive approach, Samson dominated the opposition bowlers, pushing India D past the 300-run mark on the opening day. He finished Day 1 unbeaten on 89, eventually reaching his century early on Day 2 with a dazzling knock.

His innings came to a close at 106 runs off just 101 balls, featuring 12 fours and 3 sixes. His century was instrumental, but it was a bittersweet moment as he departed shortly after achieving this milestone.
