Rohit Sharma has been the backbone of the Indian batting lineup for over a decade now. The 36-year-old has been at the helm of the runs-scoring department for India across all three formats.

The Indian skipper, who was one of the rare positives from the ODI series against Sri Lanka, is rumoured to be a part of the Duleep Trophy 2025.

The Indian cricket team are set for a month-long break before they resume their action against their next opponent, Bangladesh. As per new and strict rules by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the players should participate in domestic tournaments to stand a chance for selection for the national team. And the rule spares none! Not even the likes of Rohit Sharma or Virat Kohli!
