Rishabh Pant marked his return to Test cricket after over 18 months with a terrific century against Bangladesh in the 1st Test match of the two-match series in Chennai.

Earlier this year, Rishabh Pant had returned to competitive cricket in limited overs, with a successful IPL campaign followed by the T20 World Cup 2024 where he was part of the triumphant Indian team.

On the back of his 52-ball-39 in the first innings, the southpaw came out bat on Day 3 as the team was reeling on 88/3 at the start of play.

After being unbeaten on 82* at Lunch on Day 3, he quickly raced to his century mark at the start of the next session, post the break.

Which Indian wicketkeepers have scored the most centuries in Test cricket?

Pant's century inning of 109 runs off 128 balls was his sixth Test Hundred of his career, equalising MS Dhoni's record of the most Test centuries for India.

He also becomes the joint-fifth batter with most hundreds for the country as a wicketkeeper.
