Rishabh Pant recently called out fake news regarding his supposed transfer to Royal Challengers Bangalore. Rumours had spread that Virat Kohli opposed Pant joining RCB due to 'political tactics' within the Indian team and Delhi Capitals.

Pant, who captains DC, was quick to address the misinformation. After recovering from an injury, Pant returned to the cricket field and is preparing for the next IPL season. However, baseless reports linking him with RCB prompted a stern response from the wicketkeeper-batter.

Did RCB decline signing Rishabh Pant because of Virat Kohli?

Reports surfaced on social media claiming that Pant approached RCB through his manager to replace Faf du Plessis as captain, which was allegedly rejected. The same rumours stated that Kohli didn’t want Pant in the team due to internal politics.

Pant responded to these claims by calling them "fake news" and urged people to be more responsible. In a message posted on X, Pant expressed frustration at the spread of false information, saying it creates an untrustworthy environment.
