What did Rohit Sharma say about working with new India head coach Gautam Gambhir and his support staff?

Rohit revealed that the Indian team is adapting well to the new group of support staff under Gambhir.

Currently, the main support staff consists of bowling coach Morne Morkel, assistant coaches - Abhishek Nayar and Ryan ten Doeschate and fielding coach T Dilip.

"The staff is new, but I know both Gautam Gambhir and Abhishek Nayar. I have played quite a bit of cricket against Morne Morkel; we've played some tough cricket against each other. I've also played, maybe a couple of games against Ryan but the two of us haven't spoken as much before. From what I experienced with him in Sri Lanka, I think he has a sensible and understanding personality," the Indian skipper said.

How is the Indian team adapting to the transition of coaching styles under Gautam Gambhir and Rahul Dravid?

Rohit revealed that there is a difference in coaching style and management of the Indian team under Rahul Dravid and Gambhir.

However, he added that there is a good understanding between the players and the new coaching staff, saying that the team has adjusted well to the transition.

"As for Gambhir and Nayar, like I said, I know them well. Everyone has their own style. Rahul bhai, Vikram Rathour, and Paras Mhambrey had a different way of running the team. These guys will have a different style. So, it's important for you to adjust," he said.

"So far, there have been no problems or issues as a player. Like I said, if there is understanding between both [coaches and players], that's the most important thing. And we have a good understanding."

Under the new coaching staff, the Indian national team is set to play in the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy in 2025, a potential World Test Championship Final at The Lord's in 2025, the T20 World Cup at home in 2026 and the ICC Cricket World Cup in South Africa in 2027.
