India will host Bangladesh in the second and final Test of the series at Kanpur from Friday, September 27 and will look forward to sealing the series 2-0 as they move ahead to the New Zealand series at home.

In the first Test in Chennai, the homeboy, Ravichandran Ashwin dominated the proceedings with his player of the match-winning, all-round performance. In the first innings, he came into bat at 144/6 and scored 113(133) alongside Ravindra Jadeja's 86(!24) to bail India out of trouble.

Jasprit Bumrah led the bowling attack with 4/50 in the first innings to give India a mammoth lead of 227 runs which was turned into a 514-run target with centuries from Shubman Gill (119) and Rishabh Pant (109).

Ashwin wrapped things up with 6/88 in the fourth innings as India won the match by 280 runs despite a valiant fight put in by Bangladesh captain Najmul Shanto who scored 82(127).
