Virat Kohli scores 3000 runs in World Cups

Team India are currently in Chennai ahead of the first Test match against Bangladesh which starts on September 19. Rohit Sharma & Co. are scheduled to face the Bangla Tigers in a two-match Test series, as part of the World Test Championship (WTC) cycle 2023-25.

This series will also see Kohli play a Test match after 9 months. He landed in Chennai earlier this week and has been hard at practice at the Chepauk ahead of the 1st Test.

Did Virat Kohli break the wall at Chepauk Stadium?

As per a video put out by officials broadcasters Jio Cinema, Virat Kohli smashed a six that broke the wall near the Indian dressing room at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, also known as Chepauk.

After his batting practices, Kohli was also seen having lengthy chats with Gambhir.

When did Virat Kohli made his last Test appearance?

Virat Kohli missed out on the home Test series against England due to paternity leave. His last Test appearance came away in South Africa in the second Test which lasted just two days.

The Delhi-born batter scored 46 and 12 runs respectively, in the two innings in Cape Town, as India beat the hosts by 7 wickets.

When is India's 1st Test against Bangladesh?

The Indian team will be in action very soon, after a lengthy month-long break. The Men in Blue host neighbours Bangladesh for a two-match Test series, followed by a bilateral T20I series. 

The first of the two Tests will be played at the Chepauk, between September 19 to September 23, 2024.
