Indian cricketers are some of the highest-earning stars in the game, thanks the lucrative contracts they get from BCCI apart from personal endorsement deals from various brands.

So, it should come as no surprise that star Indian cricketers like Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni feature in a list of the highest taxpayers in India. 

While Kohli has topped the list of highest tax-paying cricketers in the country, he is fifth on the overall list.

As per a Fortune India report, MS Dhoni follows Kohli in terms of cricketers. 'Master Blaster' Sachin Tendulkar is also a part of the elite list.

How much income tax does Virat Kohli pay?

Virat Kohli pays an income tax of INR 66 Crores to the Indian government. And that huge figure is a measure of his earnings through the game and commercial deals.

The overall list is topped by Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan who has paid a sum of INR 92 Crores as tax. MS Dhoni has paid a sum of INR 38 Crores to the Indian government as tax.

Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and Hardik Pandya also feature in top five cricketers' list.
