A video of former Indian cricketer, Vinod Kambli has been recently going viral on various social media platforms, causing a great deal of concern and stress among fans. In the video, the 52-year-old has been spotted struggling to even stand on his feet. 

Kambli has a long history of underlying medical conditions. In 2012, Kambli went through an angioplasty surgery in order to clear two of his arteries from blockages. Following the surgery, Kambli suffered a dangerous heart attack while driving in Mumbai in 2013.

Now 11 years later, Kambli has once again been caught struggling with his medical issues, spreading widespread concern amongst fans. In the viral video, Kambli seems to be striving to even stand properly, losing complete coordination with the lower half of his body. 

Although the authenticity of the video is still to be confirmed, many fans have speculated of substance-related abuse as the cause of Kambli’s health deterioration over the years. Others have speculated that the former batter must be suffering from physical ailments or some side effects of the medications he has been going through in the past few years. 

Kambli has been close friends with the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, and fans have even appealed to the legend to help his friend on social media since the video has gone viral.

Vinod Kambli’s stats for India

Kambli represented India across nine years in international cricket from 1991-2000. He featured in 17 Tests and over a 100 ODIs for the Men in Blue. He formally announced his retirement in 2011, playing for the Boland Province in the South African domestic circuit until then.
