Sri Lankan batter Kamindu Mendis has scored yet another fifty in the ongoing Test series against New Zealand. The Southpaw has only played eight Tests in his career so far and has scored more than 800 runs.

The 25-year-old was the rare shining light for the Lankans in their last Tour of England and in the ongoing series as well he has performed consistently.

The all-rounder made his Test debut in 2022, playing a solitary game against Australia at home. His two-year sabbatical from Tests ended when he was selected for the Bangladesh series in March 2024.

Ever since his return, he has been a revelation in the Sri Lankan setup. And now, he has etched his name amongst the greats by scoring a 91-ball 64 in the third Test at the Kennington Oval in London.
