The away side in Bangladesh chose to bowl first after winning the toss. They managed to pick up three quick wickets early in the innings, reducing Pakistan to 16/3. Star batter Babar Azam was dismissed for his first duck on home soil in Tests by Shoriful Islam.

At the time of writing this article, Pakistan are 113/3 with opener Saim Ayub and middle-order batter Saud Shakeel standing strong for the home side. The two are closing in on a 100-run partnership after a disastrous start to the innings for the home side.

Babar Azam trolled for getting out for a duck vs Bangladesh

Despite Ayub and Shakeel’s commendable effort to get the Pakistan innings back on track, the centre of attention is Babar for getting dismissed for his eighth duck in Test cricket and his first ever in Pakistan.

The 29-year-old batter is being trolled mercilessly for getting a zero despite having such a strong record in Pakistan.

The situation is getting worse and worse for Babar with every passing day as he has been the most criticized player from the Pakistani dressing room by far since Pakistan’s disastrous campaigns in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 and the ODI World Cup from 2023.

Fans have taken it to social media to make fun of the Pakistani batter’s form as of late, even more so since his dismissal against Bangladesh.
